Bonding the insulating glass into the window frame (direct glazing) with the Ködiglaze product range from H.B. Fuller | KÖMMERLING deliver many compelling advantages for window manufacturers and building owners. Mechanical properties are improved, helping reinforce the frames and enabling larger glass panes for more light incidence.
Cost savings thanks to direct glazing
Bonding the glass stabilises the window and the window manufacturer needs less or no steel reinforcements in the frame. Time-consuming blocking can be eliminated. Replacement of the panes when servicing is faster than with normal installation. Material, personnel and production costs can be reduced enormously.

Direct glazing enables increased protection against break-ins for windows, patio and balcony doors. The glass and frame merge into a single unit. With our products, the circumferential glass connection, required by DIN EN 1627, for burglar-resistant glazing is achieved (resistance class RC-2 or RC-3).
A solution for every frame material
Direct Glazing can be achieved with all frame materials. Whether for PVC-U windows or frames made of wood and aluminium – the Ködiglaze range is optimised for use with any material. Depending on the frame system, different adhesive positions are possible: overlap, rebate base and glass edge.

Long-life edge seal
With the advanced KÖDISPACE 4SG thermoplastic spacer , the inert gas in the insulating glass remains exactly where it should be – securely sealed in the inner space of the panes.
Unique connections
KÖDISPACE 4SG chemically bonds all materials at the edge of the panel to form an elastic unit. The “fusing” of the components guarantees absolute gas-tightness and long term energy efficiency. The elastic system also absorbs movements in the edge area.
Visually sensational
As the frame colour of the window is reflected, KÖDISPACE 4SG appears almost invisible. Nothing reflects or glares unaesthetic as with conventional spacers. Moreover, the warm edge system sits absolutely parallel – even in triple glazing, curved shapes or oversized windows.
